Territory Wipeout, A Counter Strategy
Weeks before the closed beta testing of Zhu Xian, Perfect World begins its first counter strategy. In case you are still uninformed, zhu xian online is the 3rd installation of perfect world. The version we have is PW 2. (Finally, everything is clear. PWPh is older). 
So, why the wipe-out? I've been browsing the zx ph forum site recently, and I see Hyper Angels decided on converting to the new game. and the way I see it, the territory wipe out is a good means to stop other clans (there are many, including heaven), from doing the same. 
Thats a brilliant strategy, actually. The fact that there will be an item mall sale when the patch arrives just proves my theory. The idea is to 1. give territories to almost all the small clans, 2. make everyone spend their money because of the sale. 
But, as pw forumers have already expressed, ganun din ang resulta nya. In the end, the major clans will dominate the server map. But, what's changed by then? 1. if zhu xian = pw, then mahirap nang makahabol pa sa mga nauna, then by the time na nakuha na ulet ng major clans ang mga lupa sa pw, may major clans na rin sa zhu xian, thereby discouraging the players who lost their lands in pw to try zhu xian. 2. because of the item mall sale, wala na rin pambili ng gamit sa zhu xian, pagtapos na ang sale. 
Zhu Xian Online of Perfect World Co. will be published by E-games, Philippines. Closed Beta Testing is scheduled on November. Open Beta will follow on December.

If both games have the same user interface, they will be treated the same. Everything will boil down to hype. Sad huh? But thats business in the philippines, you provide whats hot, not necessarily whats good. And e-games knows how to amass hype very very well.
IMO, though. ZX is better than PW. Its a newer version by the same developer. But like I said, it all boils down to hype. Whats better does not count.

I agree. They know how to give good hype to games. Pero at the same time they know how to easily lose a player base, I believe.
if they're gonna do business using what's hot, madali lang maubusan ng userbase dahil players will tend to find what's hotter.
Oh well. Let's just wait and see what happens next. oh and, very nice blog by the way. I wish nothing but the best for you and your clan.

Hmmm...I'll take a look into this as you might be on to something. My guess was that something happened to the data of the territories when the so called "Peace Patch" was placed. Again, we have no proof, but me thinks there's reason enough to put all of these events together.

it ain't PW3
that's why it's called ZX
parang side story ng PW but not an expansion of it.
the fact that egames has it says it's not PW3
what PW is now is actually PW2 and i think if ever PW3 does come out LU has first dibs because of the contract existing between PW company and LU
i wouldn't worry so much about players transfering to ZX. since PW has yet to offer more stuff along the way. i've already heard feedbacks from clanm8s and other players and it wasn't that good. (so much for expecting to much)
yes it is a newer game from the company but PW parin ang nagdadala sa company (even in the states). kaya nga pareho ung company name at game name e.
i guess you can call ZX as a simple spin-off from the main PW story.
Konata desu. I just visited the Chinese site of ZX online as well as seen some of the screenshots of ZH in e-games. Although may similarities man siya sa pw, like flights and stuff, still, parang kulang pa rin sila ng Beastkin/Wingkin eh. xD
seriously though, me thinks this is a different game from PW eh.
overall however, this looks like to be a good competitor to PW. although they're both from the same publisher. Looks interesting. :3
