Aion: Concurrent Players Exceeded 100,000 On The Very Day
Aion: The Tower of Eternity, a highly anticipated MMORPG developed by NCsoft launched Open Beta in the early morning of November 11th, 2008 local time in South Korea, and the concurrent players exceeded 100,000 on the very day.
At the time of server open, numerous players flooded into Aion at the same time.Most of the 16 servers became full immediately and NCsoft added 5 servers to accommodate more players. Though currently there are totally 21 servers running, due to overwhelming influx of players, some may players encounter server connection and character creation problems.
Concerning the business model for Aion, NCsoft stated again that Aion will be using subscription model and they expected to bring the game into commercial service before December. NCsoft said that the monthly fee will be lower than the other titles of the company and for the convenience of players, they will be offering multiple payment options.

Rinko says: AION, the only game that came close to my vision of an ideal mmorpg, but who knows maybe Blade and Soul might take the Throne, man NCsoft really excelled this time i wonder when will PH gamers get to experience quality mmorpgs like AION and "Blade & Soul"? for now we have to contend with these average mmorpgs
